Bianca Montana.

NBA, here I go!

Hello there!

Hi everyone!
We hope everybody is having a great year!
Here things are going well.
Thomas is now 15 months old and Bianca will be 3yo in May.
She is taking gymnastics classes, she has had 3 so far. She loooooves it. Specially the trampoline. I stay with her during her class. It will be this way until she turns 3, when she can 'go alone' hehe.
She has started potty training and is, lets say, 70% there hehe. We don't know if she asks to go because she wants to or because she just wants her prize hahaha, chocolate! She says a lot of different and new things now. She has been calling me 'Mom' now, so cute, not Mommy, not Juicy, just 'Moooooooooooooooooooooooom' hahaha. Oh, yeah, Hannah Montana. She loves her. Poses, dances, sings like her. Very, very cute.
Thomas is almost running. He got a haircut (his second), last Saturday. Now it is really short. He looks very different, but adorable. Yesterday he started giving me kisses. And also he will kiss the stuffed lion Vanessa gave to him. But not Daddy hahaha. He even makes the little noise 'smack'. He loves playing with his toys and the super favorite, our Florianopolis chair. He (and Bianca too) will swing in it several times a day. Now he likes going to the park, too. And gets upset when we come back home.
Last Saturday, for the first time, we left the kids under the care of somebody that is not family. We took them to a childcare center for 3 hours while we were doing our taxes. It was weird, but the place seems to be like a very reliable one. We don't plan on doing that often though. They seemed to like it, well Thomas was crying when we arrived, but probably because he had woken up and we were not around. Bianca told us the things she had done and seemed happy with this new 'school', as we called it.
A special note goes to my sister Bruna:
"Congratulations! We wish you the best in the next 4 years. Well, we do always hehe. =O)"
She has just entered the University in Sao Paulo. When she is done, in 4 years, she will become a Portuguese and French teacher. We are very proud of her, because to join this University, since it is one of the few ones that are free, you have to go through a 3day test, and do really, really well. This is the second time she takes the test, and we were so happy to learn the news. Uh huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! =o)
Well, that is it for now.
Have a wonderful week.
Tati.

Happy New Year / Feliz Ano Novo!

Hello everybody!
This is our first post of 2008! We hope you and your family are having a good time!
We came back from Brasil yesterday and now we are trying to get used to the cold weather again.
The trip was great! Seeing everybody again was wonderful and a lot of fun.
We visited with my Mom and my siblings in São Paulo as well as my Dad in Adolfo. We got to see a few friends, but most we didn't get to meet. Everytime we go, time seems to go by real fast.
The day we arrived, Vanessa, Guilherme and Felipe picked us up at the airport, with flowers! =o) Then, we spent the afternoon at my Mom's. She cooked delicious feijoada for us. Thank you very much! Next day we went for lunch with some of my friends from work, also some of Vanessa's friends. It was great to be able to see them again. Thanks for joining us =o) We also visited Guilherme's house and had Paulista pizza there! Uh huuuu! On Friday (I believe), we saw my friends Alexandre and Daniel, then, for dinner, we went to a 'churrascaria' Yummy! The weekend after after we visited Carlos (Vanessa's boyfriend) and got to see his new place, and also got to visit my friend Alexandre.
Then, on the weekend, we went to my Dad's house, just in time for Abram to go with Silvia to her prom. She was very beautiful and the party went nicely.
We spent Christmas at my Dad's and, oh boy, the kids got tons of gifts, from everybody. Their Cocoricó collection has grown (a lot) hehe.
Everything was wonderful. Seeing everybody, eating the foods that Benê and my Mom cooked for us. They cook very well, not like me. =o) Going to Rossi (a grocery store we went to several times haha), drinking Poty guaraná, walking through the street market, eating 'pastel', having ice-cream at Batista's shop and, the most important thing of this trip, letting Bianca and Thomas spend time with their family. How I wish we could all live closer. It was very special that they met (or saw again for Bianca) theirs grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousin Felipe, friends, in special Aline (she was born right around the time Bianca was, and they are very good friends).
I want to thank everybody for everything. Food, rides, (Felipe for letting us use his bedroom, Benê for the new mattresses), gifts, help with the children (including diaper changes hahaha that was nice break for me! hahahaha) and, the most important thing, THANKS FOR THE LOVE!
I am happy to be home, but honestly very sad to be away from my family. It is going to be weird for a few days. I will have to go to Waffle House and Freebirds to re-adapt hahahaha.
I really hope we can go again soon.
Thank God for a safe trip.
Happy New Year everybody.
Tati.

What a mess! Happy Birthday, Thomas! We love you =o)

Thomas is one year old!

Wow! It's been a long time since we have last added something here. We have been busy. Thomas turned one on Oct26th and we had a Halloween party for him. It was a lot of fun. He had some friends over, also Pappo, GrandMona, GrandMa & Aunt Rayna. Thanks everyone for taking the trip down here to celebrate with Thomas. We did webcam with my Dad (thanks Pappo!) and talked on the phone with my family. Thomas was dressed as Sebastian, the Little Mermaid crab, and Bianca as JoJo (from Jojo's Circus - Disney). They were very, very cute. Our friends at the party were: Hope, Daniel, Liliane, William & Kaylee - she was just 2 weeks old. We are very happy that they were able to come. Thank you. =o) We had some interesting snacks, such as sausage toes, rotten teeth apples, haha, and other things. Listened to the Doodlebops and had a wonderful time. We celebrated on the 27th (Sat), and then on the 31st it was Halloween and we did Trick or Treat in our neighborhood. GrandMa was a fortune teller, Aunt Rayna was an ... lets say ... super ancient lady haha, I was a witch and Abram was ... we don't know yet. hahaha.
Ah, also in October it was my brother's Guilherme birthday. Happy Birthday!!!! =O)
Other big news is that Thomas started walking during his party! Cool uh?! Now he is great at it.
He's gotten 3 teeth now and he says one word I guess .. I say 'oi thomas tudo bem - how are you?' he says "ta, ta, ta" meaning he is well. haha. Bianca is great. She is talking like a politician and she loves to dance and sing, specially the Doodblebops. She still loves Dora a lot and other cartoons too. She also enjoys drawing a lot, pushing Thomas away, playing with her old new kitchen hehe and cooking with me. I just love seeing how big they are getting and how much fun it is the day by day routine, watching them grow. Thomas likes looking at books and, more than anything, he loves his airplane. Oh boy! He will walk holding onto that for a long time. Sometimes even pushing Bianca.
Well, I guess that is it for now. We are very excited about going to see our family in Brasil soon. Probably next post will be from there =O) We just cannot wait to see everybody. I am so anxious for them to see Bianca and Thomas. Oh my! We will be thinking about our family here while we are there, wishing that everybody could be together, but we won't complain, because we are very fortunate to have and see everybody, at least sometimes.

Have a great day everyone. Thanks for taking the time to read it.
Tati.

We're here!

Hi everyone!! We know, we know, it's been forever since we last wrote in here, but we are back now! Wow! Thomas is gonna be one year old in 4 days! He will have a costume party. Actually, a Halloween party! We wanted to do just costume and not halloween, but the halloween plates and cups were soooo cute hehehe. We will post pictures after the party. We are so happy to know that some friends will come, Aunt Rayna, GrandMa, Pappo & GrandMona. Of course we wish everybody could come, but of course it is not possible, so we may have some webcam section with Vovô. =o) We love seeing the Halloween decorations in our neighborhood. So people really get into it. hahaha We have some things up, including the Christmas tree with litthe ghosts, pumpkins and spiders (all plastic cups haha). We will have to check the sales after Halloween for some more things for next year. =o)
We went to a Pumpkin patch a few days ago. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of pumpkins hahaha.
Also, we want to send a big hug to our Tio Guilherme, who turned 28 on Oct11th. Te amamos!
Beijos para todos.

Thomas x Dora ... Who gets the bottle?

Aren't you proud?

Bianca showed me her new trick today. Don't ask where she learned it. I have just no idea. Then, later, while showing it to Abram, she wanted me to do it, I kept saying 'no, no'. Then she asks me: "Red? Green?" Thinking that maybe I just wanted a different color. huahauhuahua Oh boy!

Grandparent's Day.

This is a special post, to send a mega kiss to our Grandparents here in the US.
It was GP day here yesterday and we want to say we love all of you very much.
Thanks for everything and, one more time... we wish we could see everybody often. Or, at least more often. =o)

Renatha, come back soon! =o)

Hi everyone. It has been so long since we last posted.
We have been very busy. Last month it was my Mom, my Dad and my Uncle Tony´s birthday.
Lots to celebrate! We had a super cool party for Daddy, luau style! (above is mommy preparing the watermellon. more pics soon!). For my Mom, the celebrations are still happening! We went to this new place in Fort Worth, it is like the beach. It is like a lake with sand around it. Super cool. (http://www.burgerslake.com/) And we will go to a new place here next Saturday, it is like a city inside the city! Very beautiful. With lots of shops and restaurants, movie theatre, etc. It is called ..... hehehe I forgot now! My Dad, again, made a treasure hunt for my Mom. He gave her a water camera and a blender (she really wanted it). It was not easy (I mean it!) to find the gifts. With about ten clues all over the place, including the bottom of the pool and a bench at the park! Oh boy!!!!!!!!!!!!! =oD Also, my Mom and Dad have been married now for 4 years. They got married on Mom's birthday =o) For Uncle Tonny, well we could not be there, but Bianca made a beautiful card for him, which he can sell on ebay for big bucks when she is a famous artist hahahahahah.
My Mom's former boss Diogo has a daughter named Renatha. We didn't know her, but she was here in August for training with her new company, and we got to meet her. We L.O.V.E.D her! Had such a great time! Please come back soon! =o)
Some pictures now.

Have a wonderful day and happy birthday everybody!
